COMING TO BIRMINGHAM IN 2027

What happens at a Retinue Session?

Each session focuses on an aspect of performance through practical exercises and unscripted scenes.

The facilitator introduces a character prompt, relationship or situation. You’ll take part, watch others and discuss what you notice, with opportunities to revisit scenes and try different approaches.

The Interactive Actor's toolkit.

Four essential skills. Turn over the cards to discover how we develop them.

A regular space for your practice.

Keep acting between productions, meet other performers and give time to skills that benefit from regular use.

We’re building a group you can return to, getting to know familiar collaborators while welcoming new people.

Want to explore audience interaction?

Our longer Interactive Theatre Workshops introduce sustained characters and shared fictional worlds, where you’ll practise responding to audience questions, choices and unexpected contributions.
